Photo challenges and the corresponding winning photos!
Challenge Rules (these are really quite simple, so… read up!):
- Photo must be taken during the duration the challenge runs. NO CHEATING!
- The photo must be submitted to the facebook challenge album to judged.
- The image with the most “likes” will be the photo of the week!
- Don’t forget to add your watermark if you like.
Now, I know a lot of you want prizes and whatnot, and we will offer them once in a while based on sponsors and availability. But keep in mind that this is a FREE camera club. Meaning you do not pay to be a member. Which means Rachel and I make no money doing this. 0. Zilch. Nada. Which ALSO means we have no money for prizes. So enjoy your awesome, free photo-community and be happy with bragging rights and expanding your skill-set and creativity!
If you are not a member of AAPIG on FB but would like to participate and share your image, please leave a link in the comments below! We’d love to see them!
Check out some of the groovy portraits from the 60’s and attempt, as best you can via photographic technique and editing, to recreate the same look and feel that they have.
Some things to pay attention to: use of negative space, posing, image “story”, props, emotion, political and societal influences.
Choose a non-human subject just lazing around, and give it life! Use real-life to create expressions and faces (ie: markers, paper cutouts, existing features that look human, etc. NO PHOTOSHOP!) and photograph your non-human subject doing something human-looking.
